It was announced earlier this year that Sony Santa Monica would be developing a new God of War game. The studio has been working on the project since The release of God of War (2018), Since then, the team has been hard at work creating a brand new story set in Norse mythology.
There will be new gods and monsters.
The new game will feature a new cast of characters, including the monster Fenrir. Which will play an integral role in the story, and players will need to learn how to use items and skills more than before to defeat enemies.
The story takes place after God of War 4.
The story takes place immediately following the events of God of War 4. Players will follow Kratos as he travels to Midgard, the realm of humans, where he encounters the gods Loki and Thor. After defeating Loki, Kratos will travel to Asgard, the home of the Aesir, to confront Odin. If Kratos defeats Odin, he will then journey to Helheim, the realm of the dead, to face off against Fenris Wolf. If Kratos survives these battles, he will finally reach Valhalla, the hall of heroes, where he will meet the other gods and battle the monsters Garmr and Hela.
The game will feature Norse mythology characters like Thor and Loki.
The game will also feature new enemies such as Fenrir, the wolf god, and Hela, the goddess of death. It will also feature returning enemies like Garmr, the giant serpentine monster, and Hela, who was previously featured in God of War 3.
